Frequently asked questions.

What issues do you help clients with?

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, burnout, life transitions, and challenges with boundaries and effective communication. Many of my clients are high-performing individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck and are ready to take action toward meaningful, lasting change.

Are there any services you do not provide?

While I’m committed to supporting your mental health needs within the scope of my practice, there are certain services I do not offer. I do not provide therapy for minors under 18, court-ordered or forensic evaluations, expert-witness testimony, or emergency/crisis services. I also do not complete disability, FMLA, or other medical/legal paperwork. If you need services outside my scope, I’ll gladly offer referrals to professionals or agencies better equipped to support you.

Do you offer in-person and online therapy?

Yes. I offer both in-person therapy and telehealth sessions. Telehealth allows you to attend sessions from home while still receiving high-quality, confidential care. Online services are available exclusively to clients located in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is a collaborative time where we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any relevant history. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful of your needs.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Over time, sessions may transition to biweekly or as needed, depending on your goals and progress.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not in-network with insurance plans. However, as a courtesy to clients, I will file out-of-network (OON) insurance claims on your behalf. Reimbursement amounts vary by insurance provider and plan, and clients are highly encouraged to verify their out-of-network benefits directly with their insurance company. I am also not a Medicaid or Medicare provider, and these plans do not reimburse for my services.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. You can call, email, or complete the contact form on this website.

After you reach out, you’ll receive a message with instructions to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. During this call, we’ll briefly discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and determine whether we’re a good fit.

If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule an intake session and begin the therapy process.
